What would you want for Christmas for your aquarium? It could be anything! A specific species of fish or coral, or a piece of equipment? I would want a nice LED fixture for my 10gal nano... what about you?

Get involved in one of the 3 contests going on right now, you can win 3 different LED light, all of which would light up your 10 gallon lps tank.

other than that, look at some par 30's , 38's, a small diy rapid led kit, or something

For xmas you should ask for a bigger tank, like a 20 long, you could have more coral that way ;)

That's the thing, I don't want a bigger tank! I love my small nano.

Then you cant really add much more in there. Only thing i can think of is an rodi unit if you dont already have one, maybe a controller? those are nice, and you can always put it on other tanks. maybe some nice hannah meters?

Well, I asked for...3 par30s LEDs, a gift certificate to one of our sponsors for some coral, a membership to a local reef club, several reference books (The Conscientious marine Aquarist; as well as the book Sex, Drugs, and Sea Slime), coral dipping treatments such as Coral RX, and some fish medications like Cupramine and Melafix, just to be ready in case something happens.

I hope this gives you some ideas! :)

Next on my list would be a controller. :)

If the aptasia is on the smaller side, smother them in super glue. It 100% works! I use to have a bunch of aptasia in my tank, now they are gone. If they are bigger then take the rock with the aptasia out of the tank, take scissors and cut the aptasia off as close to the rock as you can and smother the base that is still attached in super glue. Eventually the aptasia die because it can't get any light or oxygen and it can't move and eventually dies without spreading. You will have globs of super glue on your rocks but that's better than aptasia.
