    Great posts folks. Ah I remember cassette drives. If you ever tried to play them on a regular cassette player, you would hear beeps and hisses. LOL

    Ah yes the early years of the internet. It was used by the military only then made available to the rest of us, but was used by colleges and hackers. The great BBS (bulletin board system) world. I built quite a few of them and was a Sysop for a ton of them. Remember FidoNet (email and news feeds at its early years)? God how things have changed.

    Downloads were painful back then. Photos loading a line at a time at a blazing 1200bps, then 2400. You were the man having a US Robotics 9600bps!

    Mine was a Texas Interments. I don't remember the model. Long time ago. Yes with the cassette recorder and the speech synthesizer. Very cool at the time.

    Damn thing was expensive. I want to say around 1500.00 or so. I had one on my main number on my BBS and had two 2400 on two other phone lines.

    Think about it. That was like having three users at once using 3reef. LOL

    I think my first was an eMachine with Windows Millennium. haha
