What type of hand soap rinses the cleanest without perfumes is there to prevent toxicity from getting into the water when you have to reach into the tank?

Any pure soap, avoid those with oils, lotions and perfumes.

What are you cleaning? I hope not equipment, I avoid all soaps regardless. I wash my hands with hot water & use gloves when in my tank. I'll use soap to wash my hands after I'm finally done.

Nothing in the tank or that goes in the tank. I'm only making reference to my hands.

What type of gloves do you use? I would prefer that because the saltwater irritates the hell out of my skin anyway.

Do you pick them up at a LFS or do you have to order them as I've never seen them at least here.

I posted a thread once about wearing gloves at ALL times when dealing with the tank!! After you are done, you can use any kind of soap. Just make sure you get those gloves that were recommended. It's definetely worth the bucks!!

Tunze also makes gloves, ten in a pack use once or twice and throw away after that. I also use the ones form coralife which I find a little bulky to work with.

Ivory soap has no perfumes or dyes.
