Well today I was having a BBQ at my uncles house and he has a 2 year old 46 gallon Bowfront. He uses it for a freshwater tank. I always go take a look at it when i go over there. Well this time was different. It was overgrown with algae and all his fish has died except a couple. I asked him "what happened to your fish tank". He said he didn't have time to take care of it anymore. I jokingly said "you should give it to me". He surprisingly said "you can have it". I was joking but now next weekend i am going to go pick it up. So it starts. Another tank build.

I have a 72 Reef and a 36 freshwater. Now I have the 46 on the way. What should i do to it. I wanted a aggressive tank or a frag tank. What you you think?

What kind of setup would you turn a 46 gallon into. What kind of substrate?

It is a standard tank. I would like to drill it for a overflow or add a overflow kit to it.

    Look forward to your ideas.

ive always wanted an anemone tank.

or how about a mantis tank?

    or a lionfish tank?

or a sea horse tank? ( this is a bit cooler i guess)

    congrats on the new tank!

I think a anemone tank with some clownfish and a few open water fish would look best;D!

The lionfish Tank is high on my list. That was the first idea when he said i could have it.

What are the thoughts on a combined sump with my 72. I have a 20 gallon refugium. I could also just set up a wet/dry or another fuge.

you could only fit a very few dwarf lions in a 36. large ones are to big for that size of a tank!
