What else should i be looking at other than

    ammonia
    ph
    nitrite
    nitrate
    sanity
    temp

i will use the api saltwater liquid test kit as i used the freshwater version for my tropical fish and i thought it was very good

????? What else should i test? And can i buy a test kit for them?

 Get one of those for me too will ya? :D

I'm assuming you mean salinity. If that's the case, get yourself a refractometer if you don't have one already.

Test for calcium, alkalinity and magnesium as well. I like Salifert or Red Sea.

Agreed with the above, I've API for Ca and Alk but to my knowledge they don't make a Magnesium test kit, so I use Salifert. Another kit that is handy to have is a phosphate test kit, but that's optional IMO.

Yeah after the tank is stable you will be measuring mainly alk, mag, and calcium. It's best to have a probe for PH. If it's fish only you won't be checking these as much.
