    Thanks :)

So this sponge had a glossy coating on it when I bought it. It has now shed that coating and is a matte finish all over. Any ideas if thats normal, or a sign of problems?

I did expose it to air for a brief second moving it from the bag to my tank, I don't like putting foreign water in my tank, but I read somewhere that this type isn't affected as badly to air exposure. Any sponge experts out there?

It may very well be some reaction to acclimation. Lots of corals will do this too. Just take a chalice out of the water for 10 seconds and put it back in, it's the nastiest thing.

This sponge is so cool. I would really like to get my hands on one. When you get around to it I would love to see some more pictures of it. TIA

I'll see what I can do. :) The LFS I bought it from had another one the same size for sale... if you're in the north Florida area.
