i would say just go with what ever aquarium shape is more pleasing to you. relatively simple to build a canopy. i think your lighting cost would be around the same on both if you build a canopy(im assuming you can build one since you can take apart a sunpod).

i would urge you to build a canopy if you would like to save some money. also with canopies you can get the exact lighting scheme you want. while some of the light fixtures are great your choices are limited. i kinda think the canopy is bulky but its worth it not to have the light in your eyes when viewing your tank

How long have you been running these? Is the ballast built internally or externally? Its worries me with cheap fixtures with fires occurring. Sort of like them odyssey fixtures. :-/

i like both tanks because. the 120 has more width creating the illusion of a bigger tank. but the 125 is longer allowing your fish to swim farther with out having to turn around, and you can place more corals closer to the front of the tank. i know im not really being helpful. but its really all about what tank you want. i don't think either one is significantly better then the other

ok a word about those fixture they come with the cheapest bulb you could possibly imagine in it. i know because i bought a 48 one . its a decent fixture nice fans. but the bulbs are crap. they say 15k they look like 6k. so count on buying new bulbs if you get that one

I don't have them yet(they are Odyssey), but I do have and use the T6's made by Odyssey....I have no problem what so ever with them. Do you personally know someone who had a fire with them or did you just hear about/read it? There have been more discussions about Odyssey lights on here, that I think that point you make is Moot.:)

Yeah I figured as much about the bulbs, Sostoudt. That's why I recommended the bulbs from Tangster.

Sheeters...I've got 72" pc's if you wanna buy them I'll sell them to ya so I can get the mh's They work great for me and would be perfect for fish only!

No i don't know anyone personally that has had problem with Odyssey brand fixtures. Its just "hearsay." I don't mean to give them a bad rep. I guess if there was a problem with them the manufacture would stop making them or go out of business. They are very very tempting. Thanks for the offer on the PC's, but ill pass for now.

With the styles of aquariums, I am going to give it a couple more days to sell. If not I am going to set it up.
