I am torn. I going to setup a full blown reef. I currently have an brand new 125 Reef-Ready all glass sitting in my basement. But now, i wish i would of went with an 120 48 x 24 x 24 because of less lights needed. I have been trying to sell my 125 but no takers yet. should I keep the 125 and set it up OR should I hold out for an 120 until I sell the 125. :-/ And No don't recommend any other size you will just cloud the issue even more.

Build a stand that will let you use the other tank for a filter/refugium/or any other device

125 is 72 inch long x 18 inch front the back x 21 inch tall. I was thinking less light requirements. 2 hqi's for the 120 instead of 3 hqi's required for the 125. What do you think?

oh, now I see the problem. If you are planning on using a fixture that sits on the tank or in the hood, then I would go with the 120, a 48in. fixture is much cheaper than a 72in. fixture. If you are going to use a hanging fixture, then I would use the 125. I think it may be difficult to sell it and you probably won't get what you want for it. another thing to consider is mh bulbs are expensive, although you don't need to replace them very often, when you do you will dropping a lot of money at one time. I have an 40 breeder now with 36" 150 HQI x 2 sunpod. I was thinking if I went with the 125 I would rip out the guts on the sunpod and mount them in a custom built hood. Then add and 250 MH in the center and have the 150 MHs on each side of the 250HQI. This is why I am leaning toward the 120 48x24x24. Is my thinking correct on leaning toward the 120.

With selling the 125 no one has been interested in buying it from me. When I bought the 125 I thought it would go like "hot cakes" but not the way the economy is now. I had it up for sale for 2 months now.

I went from a 55gal @48" long to a 135gal 72" long. I feel your pain! I say keep the 125! It's a great size! Geekdafied suggested to me these light which are really a good deal! 3 of them

24" Metal Halide Aquarium Reef Light 250W HQI LED NEW - eBay (item 300262807964 end time Oct-06-08 15:13:54 PDT)

put some nice SPS bulbs from Tangster and you got a great set-up(or they even come with the bulbs)! You can either hang them or take some clear acrylic 3/4" square and make the parts that go from front to back in the top ridge of the tank to sit them on.

    know what I mean?
