This is my first experience with a skimmer. It is an aquaC remora pro that I have just installed in my sump. It is already producing a green liquid in the skimmer cup(about a quarter inch in a day and a half). It just looks like green water, not thick or anything. Is this what I should be seeing?

You need to find a balance between filling the cup fast with watery skimate and going to slow with super dark stuff. Green sounds good.

Here is a pic of mine:

Thanks Matt. I was also wondering about the remora. There seems to be a little bit of a gap inside where the outer walls meet the interior. Not a large gap but not water tight either. Does that sound right to you?

Are you talking about between the cup and the outer walls of the skimmer? If so, that's normal.

No, not the cup. It's in between the square part that the cup sits in and the back wall of the unit. In other words if I look straight through the return spout I can see tiny bubbles escaping from the left back corner of the "bubble chamber" into the return.

I've got that too a little bit. Kinda bugged me at first, but it's not a whole lot.
