Really the only way to go is RO/DI water, I think it is essential for long term success in the hobby. You can pick refurbed units up from spectrapure for very reasonable prices.

If the new water is at 20 ppm, then you really aren't doing much with each water change. I would look into a new water source asap.

I found a RO/DI setup through BFS (Buckeye Field Supply). Have you heard much about these systems? It it overkill for my 30 gallon tank? $282

Buckeye is a sponsor here and have great systems. They are also active on the forum which is nice if you have any questions.

I saw the link for Purelyh20 on this forum and they seem to have RO/DI setups that are just as good if not better for less $. Thanks again.

Other sponsors are Bulk reef supply (I got mine here), spectrapure (Very good systems and all membranes are pre tested, I would rec here for sure), and air water ice.

don't pay $282! BRS BFS and spectrapure all have systems in the $130-150 range that will be plenty!
