Does anyone have any experience with using TLF phosban reactor for pellets? I've been thinking of switching from GFO to biopellets, but don't really want to buy another reactor.

    I'm very happy with it

don't waste your money, i tried tweaking the TLF and had a 357 gph pump on it and it ran fine at first than when bacteria built up it started clumping running 250ml of pellets. its just not worth it to me to have to pull the reactor apart every couple weeks or so to un clump it and clean the screens. plus that says the pellets aren't working steady as they should. it would get a weird odor like cabbage. I'm guessing that was bad bacteria. who knows maybe its why i lost a lot of my goniopras???? when starting pellets.
if i had it to do over again, i would not have wasted my money tweaking other units and just bought the one i have. its been trouble free, and running on the same 357 gph pump turned down with a ball valve. so i could add more pellets or spin them faster if i wanted to. the aquamaxx is a set and forget pellet reactor, the spin has stayed the same since the day i put it in, when i pull it out it will be to add more pellets, thats it.

i have the smaller aquamaxx bio pellet reactor.

I was running GFO in a TLF brand reactor, because i had cyno and GHA. The GFO elimnated the GHA in a couple of weeks, but only slowed the cyno. After the Steve Wright post on testing Bio pellets I got some from BRS. They clumped at first and i would just shake the reactor to bust them up again. After about the fist week or two they stopped clumping and begain to tumble good. The cyno is completly gone but the GHA is trying to come back. I ran carbon with both products and looks like I'm just gonna add another reactor and run all 3.
