Maxi-Jet all the way for that price! Not the preetiest but they can't be beat. If you can find the Italian made ones that is the way to go. I have one that is 20 years old and still works like a charm to churn salt water for water changes!

I personally like hydor koralias. They have a nice look to them, are a good price, and are reliable.

I personally moved away from the maxi-jets as powerheads because they are bulky and only have 3 sunction cups to keep them on the glass, unless you buy a magnet. The koralias come with magnets.

Pic 1= maxi jet powerhead mode
    Pic 2= koralia powerhead

+1 to the hydor koralias. They have a nice wide flow to them.

They have on that is for nano's its 260 gph. I got it for my Biocube 29 and it does good job. If you going sps you might want to go up to the 750 gph. But in my tank with the nano and the mj1200 return pump I have plenty of flow for softies and LPS.

Also you could go with 2 nanos if you needed more flow that way you can adjust the direction a little better with 2 small ones vs 1 big one.

If you use the attachment that hangs to the side of the tank that comes with the maxi-jets it does not rely on the suction cups to stick to the side of the tank. The suction cup is only used to keep the plastic "hanger" stuck to the wall, this is a better alternatitive than the 3 suction cups which can and will come unstuck.

+1 on the hydor's, those are good as well, but I don't think their longetivity is the same as the maxi-jets. I personally use both on both my tanks.

Do u think two 400gph or one 750? I definitely want some purple birds nest going and just good flow in general as its good for my sick tank .
