I would look into Koralia or Tunze.... but before you buy, plan out your flow.... how are your live rocks going to be situated? High flow corals? Low flow corals?

Better to plan it now and buy the right stuff once.

That would be..alright..for surface agitation. but for water movement you're going to want something more. Koralia Evo's are pretty popular amongst us 3reefers.

Water Pumps & Wavemakers: Hydor Koralia Evolution

I'd go with 3-4 of the 1400's depending on what you want to keep.

Oh yeah, will this be a reef tank or a FOWLR? plan the flow accordingly, & with how you want your rock scapped(sp?) out.

Different corals also require different rates of flow.

You're going to want much more flow than that. I agree with NASAGeek; you should really plan out your inhabitants and flow areas, to at least get an idea of what you need. I wouldn't recommend anything less than 2 of the 750 gph Koralias, and that would be bare minimum IMO. Something like 3000+ gph total would be more typical for that size tank.

haha. even with powerheads it will take a bit longer than a few minutes. usually it will settle within 24-48hrs.

I have a 75g Tank, and I picked up 2 Koralia 1400's. I don't know if thats overkill, but I know that Hydor is a very reputable brand

    Good Luck!
