I don't think I would trust either one of them to not leak. Maybe you can find a place where if they leak it will still run into the tank .. put them in some sort container.. Got a pic of the area where you will be putting it?

This is the one I run. its a nextreef mr1. great build quality. they also make a shorty. it doesnt have to be in a sump you could sit it under your stand and just run the tubing. hope this will give you some ideas.

hmm if the tubes are long enough to reach the tank from the small space in the stand it might work.

Hmm . If it's going to sit on the floor I would put it in some sort of bucket or a 2 QT pitcher would work well.
Here's the hose clamps I was talking about:
    Plastic Hose Clamp

But if you're going to be outside of the sump you may want to go for a stronger hold with the metal:
Medium Metal Hose Clamp - 1/2 inch - 1 inch

They're only like 50 cents at Home Depot.
That's if you go with the TLF reactor the ones on the viaaqua are pretty good but still prone to leaks.
But then again.. maybe you'll get lucky and never have a leak!!

You will want a pump that runs about 200 GPH through it. Usually the pump is so close to the reactor in a sump that pressure loss is not an issue. I'm trying to imagine your reactor being a few feet under the tank... it will have to have a pump that can get the water back to the tank. So you may need a pump that is strong enough to do that. .. if i'm understanding the layout correctly.

You can buy about any size tubing at Lowes or Home Depot that you may need.

I recommend GFO from bulk reef supply. I used it in a TLF 150 reactor too. Works like a charm. I used to have two, one for carbon and one for GFO. I mix now and it works fine!
