Yeah, gotta admit, Tropic Marin Pro is the best I've ever used. Along with that comes price too (of course). I've just heard so much about ReefCrystals that I need to give it a try. I'm looking for flat rate shipping to buy a 200g box.

Instant ocean is realllly inconsistent, dont waste your $$
reef crystals are decent... i have had mixed results on occasion however
Red sea is a good mix for a cheaper price.
Brightwell is by far the most amazing mix I have ever seen though!

    Just my experience

I used reef crystals on my 45 system and it performed well. When I upgraded to the 150 SPS tank, I switched to Red Sea Coral Pro. Much better.

tropic marine is not expensive because its "the best" but it is super expensive mainly because it is shipped over from Germany...

I use RC ($0.42/gal) now, but the LFS I get stuff from is switching to Salinity ($0.43/gal) and the D-D stuff($0.52/gal). So I will probably use Salinity. I like that you get 220 gals from the same bucket as the RC which only makes 160gal.

But the RC I use has been good... I don't knwo if it could be the cause of my low alkalinity or not, but seeing as I haven't done a water change in over a month that could be the issue as well.
