I agree. They move but its only when they see me in the room. I go into my room with my reef tank and things are flying all around. The lion is the personalaty of feed me im swimming.

They are beautiful but I don't want anything that can hurt me, I got tired of tobies(mini-puffers) biting me so I don't think I will take a lionfish sting in stride.

Dont worry about them they are peacefull. Its like saying I will not plant a garden because I can be stung by a bee. They are cool fish and I have been stung it really is an over glorified bee sting.

What tank mates do you usually keep with these guys? I'd love to get one but I've heard they have a good chance of eating fish that are even just a little smaller than themselves. I think my firefish would be a goner!

I think the Blackfoot and the Fu manchu are by far the most unique. I would love to get those two, but my husband and I are actually in the process of paring down on our aquariums. We are planning a very long distance move, and don't want to deal with the headache of getting fish through customs. Your setup sounds amazing!

I know what your wife means. The last Volitans we had was in a tank right behind our sofa. You would get the feeling that someone was watching you, and it would be right behind you just staring. :cheesy:
