What is this

Got this in some live rock .

 

looks like aiptasia, which you want to get rid of.

 

I'm not too sure about that. It's definitely an anemone but it doesn't look like aiptasia to me.

is that because of the greeness to it amcarrig?

 

No, it's more because of the amount and structure of the tentacles.

Agreed... not aptasia.. too thick.
Possibly fllower nem? may need to see a pic top down if you can get one or of the foot?

 

I have never seen an aiptasia footed into the sand either hehe.

 

I have seen aptasia in the sand.... on the glass... all over the place.. LOL
