What is this spiral thing

    These have suddenly popped up in my overflow and a couple other places in the dt

    The are small white spiral looking things. Some type of tube worm?

    In case you want an ID, those are Spirorbid fan worms. They can be removed with a scraper if they get in the way of you viewing the tank, but otherwise, as mentioned, they're harmless filter feeders.
