What is this lil thing?!

    Turned my decorative coral over and found this. Its about a quarter of an inch in diameter and tan in color. Is this some sort of aptaisia?

    It certainly looks like an aptaisia. Get rid of it, inspect the tank for any more.

    I would highly advise not just "pulling" it off. It will release spores and create a mini aipstasia infection. Your best bet it to use Aipstasia-X or Boiling water.

    I had some on a rock- I boiled about 2 cups of RODI water and poured it over that portion slowly. The aipstasia shriveled up and fell completely off the rock. I haven't had a problem since.
