    I don't know either. If it were me, I would take that thing and throw it in the trashcan. Coral included. I would be afraid of it releasing some sort of toxin if I cut it, or growing back if I left any piece of it.

    You could probably take a piece of that coral and cut it off with a scissors, then glue it to something (lol its worked for me before...). That thing will grow back like a weed anyway.

    Just my opinion because I don't know what it is. To be honest, it looks a bit scary.

    Can corals get cancer? It looks like a tumor to me.
