    Already said but the turkey baster. The girlfriend had a freaking heart attack when she saw me using it. Let's say I bought a new (nicer) one that afternoon :p

    The turkey baster was one of my first kitchen utensils I started using... then a measuring cup, tupperware containers, a long handled wooden spoon (used to flip my turbo snails over), 3-4 packs of medical gloves, and a needle and thread to attach stuborn coral.
