    unless I know I have company coming over, I usually have 5-6 buckets with various levels of water (fresh or old and dirty) near the tank... sometimes if I get a surprise visit from someone they're like "why all the buckets?"... I can't help but think, "duh, why not?" But I can see how that might look strange to a non-reefer.

    Yeah, this is why I went to Lowe's and got 50 feet of 1/2" vinyl tubing and just pump my water from my laundry room where I've got about 20g RO, and 10g freshly mixed saltwater at the ready! I just hook up a Maxijet 1200 and use a little remote control switch to turn it on.

    Weirdest thing i use is prolly my 5g office water jug for holding my water. Credit cards for scraping algae. Hydrogen peroxide for cleaning algae from zoas.

    Probably egg crate for a frag rack. It was very hard to describe to the cashier at home depot what i was trying to do! lol

    the weirdest thing in my tank room is probably me... I'm sitting there staring into the aquarium for at least an hour sometimes at night with a flashlight in one hand and a beer in the other... ;)

    Dental implements (pick, scraper and mirror) would be the weirdest. People would definitely think I get high from the amount of crazy glue around. The random pieces of light diffuser would throw them too. "I didnt know you owned a business!"

    Syringes and vinyl tubing would also be up there, especially since I have one bag filled just with that stuff. Mass quantities of seemingly random chemicals would be weird too.

    ...Maybe the piece of dry base rock in the large tupperware container sitting on the kitchen counter for the last two months wasn't the weirdest thing after all lmao!

    my tank is in my room, and i would say the crazyest thing is vodka. i gave my parents a heart attack when i asked then if they can buy me some vodka for dosing.(im only 14 but i was 13 at the time) lol
