I am going to get a nice feather duster for my tank, but it is not very established yet, so I will need to feed it phytoplankton.

What is considered a good product to feed these guys?

reef nutrition product lines are the best for me. a bit pricey when you buy it locally unless you have the hookups :)

I'll PM Gresham for you and have him tell you. He's a long-time 3Reefer and he works for Reef Nutrition.

Do you guys dose the phytoplankton for NPS in your DT? Or do you only dose your fuge?

I drop about 1 drop per gallon of fuge (about 20 drops) one time a week. I will shut down the flow to the fuge and dose phyto. I'll leave the flow off for an hour then kick it back on.

Is this right? Or does someone have experience doing it another way with success?

I have noticed a marked increase in the number and size of ampipods and isopods in the fuge since starting dosing. But can I be doing more with the phyto? Should I be doing more?
