I have stated in previous threads my inability to have a sump/fuge becuase of the location of my tank.

My only options are hang on the back

I have been reading much in this short time in this hobby about the benifits of skimmers, refugiums, sumps and al sorts of reacotrs.

My question is this: with very limited space= to the dimensions of the width of my tank, what equipment should I utilize that space with?

For example, use my current power filter with skimmer on the other side?

Turn my filter into a mini fuge with skimmer?

Also I have been looking into reactors. Should I use a carbon?GFO reactor and turn the power filter into a fuge with skimmer?

Or use a skimmer, phosphate reactor and wet/dry filter?

Just wanting to know the best ways to help maintain my tAnk. thanks

Ok than correction to my original post. Keeping my power filter as an option. turn it into fuge/ leave as is? or discarg it for the berlin method and use the space for a reactor of some short?

i would definitely go the fuge route. personally, i dont have ANY mechanical filtration... just fuge and skimmer, and it works great on my heavily stocked tank. IMO dont go the wet/dry, youll have nitrate problems down the line

So get rid of the filter and make into a fuge? but what about mechanical and chemical filtration? What do I do for other forms of media if I remove that? carbon, ammonia removers etc.

I don't think a the size of a hob fuge will be as effective as a full size fuge. if space is limited, a hob skimmer is the best.
