Todd- I'm thinking you got a pistol shrimp. They are very cool but burrow a lot - I rarely see mine but I can hear him

I have a 4 gallon cube that has been set up for a while, I put the monti and frogspawn in but I might put all the surviving coral in to. Went to the LFS and got a pound of fine carbon, have noticed the hermits and few snails are doing much better, I guess the only good thing is when my tank is ready I get a mated pair of maroons

I placed another PH in my sump near one end to 'agitate' the surface more and keep things in suspension more instead of getting a film on the surface so much in my sump.

Seems to be working well- one more step in the overall health of my sump.
My DT doesn't have that 'film' problem asw the entire surface is Coast to coast skimmed.

Still no sighting, of any sounds fron the pistol shrimp.

So today I'll bring in a sample of water to be tested, if perimeters are good I'll be picking up my clowns and maybe something else.

How did the heater breaking effect your tank? Are you in Vero Bch? Treasure Coast Corals is a cool shop out by 95.

After I recently added a Powder Blue Tang, my Humu trigger was being an absolute turd towards the new addition so I yanked him out and donated him to my LFS. I needed to get rid of him anyway before I start going back to mixed reef, but I was going to give him a chance and see if he was going to mess with new coral additions. Anyway HE GONE. And now my Fire shrimp which has been hiding for his life over the past year is in his glory!
