Any 3reef moderator can remove a post of thread if it is deemed to be not appropriate, offensive, or off topic for the thread.

I suggest if you have a problem with a removal of a post, to message the 3 reef moderator privately so it can be settled out of the public forums.

because it was rude and offended me

you accuse me of being bored - I am not, I have plenty to do, but enjoy helping people with their aquariums
here is a link to all the threads you have started here- for the benefit of anyone who thinks Steve is beint unfair to the newbie
    http://www.3reef.com/forums/search.php?searchid=1433067&pp=25

if you start from page 4 - threads about cycling and temp etc = fine
then page 3 - stocking - more than 1 thread about tangs and butterflys in a 30 gallon and plenty of replies indicating you should not do it

move to page 2 and its ich, ich that is affecting tangs and butterflys in the 30 gallon tank

ich did not kill your fish
you killed those fish due to your reluctance to accept and follow the good advise given to you on the threads you ignored
you ignored them becuase they gave you advice you did not want

I hope that this time around you will follow the good advise you get on this thread

Not only does Steve and unfair not belong in the same sentence but IMO they do not even belong in the same Country. No one takes better care of newbies and veterans alike then does Mr. Steve Wright. If you care about the lives of your fish and the health of your tank you will listen to and follow the advice he and others have given you.(countless times)It is sound to say the least.

    Just to add some thoughts:

The OP did say "juvie" fish. I honestly don't think putting a small juvie (OP didn't say HOW small) into temporary "QT/growout" setups is a bad thing (Renee and I do this all the time). This is especially important if the fish need to be weaned or simply for them to start eating without having to compete for food. It's a lot easier to feed a small fish in a smaller setup, and it's easier to observe them.

HOWEVER, one needs to FOLLOW-THRU with the necessary upgrade(s) in tank size...

The average aquarist here usually does not have the means to upgrade; so that usually entails catching the fish(Good luck with that) and returning it to the LFS.It is also important to know at what point that is needed.Having mostly predators I can completely understand your thinking because in most cases it is much easier to wean the fish but for other larger species a small tank can be a death sentence especially if overstocking. It is always a good idea to upgrade the tank first then upgrade the fish IMO.Life happens and sometimes our intentions of a larger tank can get derailed.

AMEN! I would LOVE to have a 150gal tank with sump, 'fuge, full dimmable led setup, skimmer, phosban, ato, calc reactor, etc.
However, space and money prohibit that, so I hang with my 36gal bow and my nano fish... and I am still very happy!!!

Hence the "FOLLOW THRU" comment...which I purposely highlighted in my original post. ;)

Again, the OP didn't say HOW SMALL the fish in question would be, nor did they mention whether or not they WOULD upgrade when the time came...it was simply an alternative.

I don't know the OP's history, or their current skill level, altho it seems like there may be some underlying info I haven't seen. I wholeheartedly agree that undertanking fish for life isn't the way to go. I've seen the difference in how undertanked lionfish act versus properly tanked specimens, and the behavioral change is huge.
