What do you think looks better?

The tank will be going in my living room, against the wall. It is really the only thing ion that side of the room. Electrical cords/plumbing will go to the room behind the wall, so there's really nothing to be seen above the tank, aside from 2 pendent lights hanging from the ceiling.

 

the open top looks better if done right, but can be ugly if there are a lot of wires

Once again, the only things going into/over the lip of the tank will be the 1/2 return line & the power cords to 2X koralia nano 425. I will have a few holes in the back part for cords/plumbing.

 

will two leds be enough ? what are you planning to grow?

I vote for the canopy! I take my canopy off from time to time and hate the glare it creates in the room. I want the tank to be my focal point not my lights reflection. I personally loved rimless when I first set it up and bought a canopy upon my wifes request and I only take it off it I am having the tankserviced or if im out of town so its easier for the maintaince guy can feed, top off.
