    Ok, cool! I have never tried t5's before so this would be a first. I was always a metal halide type of person! haha LOL!

    you could buy two of the 48 inchers- they have built in timmers and you would have a lot of very nice lighting for less then you could build it- with timers no less!

    or go the 6 bulb 36 inch route with three cords (I built a canopy fixture similar to this but a little better reflector and ballast set up in my case).

    im a halide junky, but just went with t5s since ive heard such great things about the color combos...i went with the ati powermodule..pricey, but the best you can buy, i have a 40 breeder with a 6x39..

    assuming you don't have a 150 gallon tank, that thing is gonna cook it.
