Flush them out to sea? Most of mine were consumed by the tank, and no traces of them left. Thats what crabs and stuff are for. Most omnivores are scavengers and will eat what they find. If a fish dies, it sinks to the bottom first untill the body starts to deteriate then floats to the surface. The crabs in my tank doesn't let that happen, its fresh fish on the menu to them, haha.

IMO a viking funeral is quite sufficient...haha

Seriously though, usually down the toilet, and i usually say a few words.

Sorry to hear about your loss:(

I have put the few that have died in my orchid soil compost, this way it recycles them in some since. Better than the porcelain god. :toilet:

If it's nice out, I'll bury them in the garden. Otherwise the garbage is fine. That is if there's enough left to take out of the tank...

I buried my cow fish many years ago because it was huge. But normally I will feed any dead fish to my hungry hungry nassarius. Sometimes they even just leave a mostly undisturbed skeleton behind in the sand.
