What did people use before ro/di water???

    I set up my first SW tank in 1990. I didn't use RO water back then. I also had to constantly pull my lace rock out (never heard of live rock back then) and scrub off all of the hair algae. My hair algae would get so long that my clowns would host it. I got so fed up with the tank that I quit when I moved.

    i use tap water + Prime by Seachem... seems to be doing fine so far
