    Nikon D70S.
And don't get caught up on megapixels. They have little to do with image quality and more to do with marketing gimmicks ;)

thats true to a point...if you are going to blow up a picture you will notice a diff for sure. shutter speed makes the biggest diff IMO.

Well the problem with megapixels is that it's only the processor that applies the megapixel rating, which is the least important digital aspect of image quality when shooting digital. Most PAS cameras go after megapixels, when neither their lens nor photocell can even come close to shooting at that rating.
And blowing up a picture has little to do with megapixels. That is your dpi rating. To give you an idea, a crystal clear 16X16" print (matching that of film camera) only needs about 4.8 megapixels, but how many PAS cameras do you know with more than that can produce film quality 16X16" prints? ;)

No, They are completely different. Megapixels is a pixel rating measured in heightXwidth, and DPI is the actual count of individual pixels whithin the entire photgraph per inch, and the DPI rating gives you the true pixel count of an image. And camera companies only have to give the megapixel rating of the processor, and the final photograph will always be different. They have to give the honest DPI of finished photo, and that's why you look there to find out true image quality.
There are plenty of 6 megapixel cameras out there that will absolutely smoke 10-12 megapixel cameras ;)

canon G10, 500 bux. to take some random shots of coral an slr was to much camera and to much dough. The g10 in macro mode can take clear shot with the lense resting on the subject.

Okay, so the Rebel seems popular. Is everyone who has one happy with it, or would they go with something else for the price?
