Best ATO on the market if you can afford it. I have had mine for over a year now. They have a plethora of safety features and redundancy. It's the Ferrari of ATO

Tunze all the way. If you do some research you will find plenty of threads were the JBJ and others have failed. Then try to find any reports of the Tunze failing....you won't.
My own JBJ failed on me, causing a huge salinity swing. So I bit the bullet and paid the $200 for the Tunze. Its super easy to set up, and it isnt reliant on a float switch. They add a float switch that is never submerged as a backup, and it has a built in audible alarm in case your levels get too low or high.

It also has a timer cutoff so if the optical AND float fail and you don't hear the alarm it will only pump for 10 minutes anyhow...

Backups that backup the backup... That's just how we do!

Yup, it seems to me that it's well worth $200. I think I will invest on this. Thank you so much everyone.

Spectrapure has a wide selection of ATO devices to fiat any budget.
Their Ultra Precise Level Controller II is even better than a Tunze and what I have used for over 4.5 years now.

It uses a digital electronic sensor similar to the Tunze and the pricing is at Spectrapure.com . They have them on sale all the time.

I use the JBJ flawlessly for about half a year now I put the second float switch upside down just above the primary switch as a fail safe and have never had a problem i love this little unit for the price

I've had two JBJ ATO's for a few years now with no issues. With my new Reef Angel controller, I recently changed from float valves to their pressure switch, which is the same device that Avast Marine offers. No moving parts, and extremely accurate.
