how do you prevent the salt creep and snails from blocking it?

I clean the sensors every few months and no snails get near any of the parts really. I have 1 sensor in my return area where there are no snails and the other is in my reservoir, so no snails there either, but I guess you could build a little cage around it if you're afraid of that.

I'm running the JBJ unit as well and love it. Avast also makes one that's worth a look. I would probably go with theirs if I had a second chance.

Avast marine love mine. Snails etc can't mess it up. Got the back up float just in case but so far works flawlessly.

I recently purchased an ATO from autotopoff.com

Great quality, has a snail guard and second float switch as a fail safe. Very reasonably priced as well.

JBJ. I have both the JBJ and the add-on Digital Aquatics float. The JBJ wins hands down. I never have issues with the JBJ, I can not same the same for the DA.

Has anyone used Tunze. BRS recommended since it's using sensor instead of the switch. But they are $200
