Carbon is always under my stand, I always have 20 gallons of saltwater and 10 gallons fresh available, but it is not heated. I live in TN and this year alone we have had 20 major thunder storms and multiple tornadoes all around us. I just got a 5000 watt generator and feel much better now. Went on vacation for 6 days and had the extension cords running right to the tank. Just in case the pet sitter needed to hook everything up quickly. I am capable of running my fridge off my generator as well, but it's a good idea to have extra flakes/pellets in case all your frozen food melts.

I have an inverter that should keep my circulation pumps running for several hours and I can charge the batteries in my cars. If we get a bad hurricane like 2004 where we lost power for 18 days Idk what I will do. Make do I guess.

As of right now..nothing. I am still in the process of getting it together. I do have Carbon and my RO/DI canister came tonight and would like to find a way to have a back up power supply of some sort.
