Spectrapure RO/DI at home for the last 10+ years. Best reef investment I ever made hands down.

HOme RO to a seperate sink tap, T'd to the frigs water and icemaker.
Then- the DI side straight to my float valve on my sump.

No more carrying anything for top offs!

LOL, so tue. Water from any other source may be fine one day and toxic the next... To make it worse, you have absolutely no control over it and little chance of catching it in time if something goes awry.

I use RODI from a lfs at the moment but plan on getting my hands on a 5 staged barely used BRS RODI from a local reefer in the near future. The lfs used some different method that produced little waste but uses chemical and he has to buy the chemicals and use thick gloves, I dont rememeber what its called

I use water from an RO at the store and the LFS. I have to say it is a total PITA to lug water this way. We have an RO unit under our sink that needs a new membrane and we don't know how to switch it out, so I've held off on purchasing another unit since we need to get this one running.......It would make this hobby so much easier to make the water in my kitchen!!

that is tempting Daniel....I like its ease of use from any water source.....It would make this hobby so much easier but then I need the exercise too so it kind of forces that...

it's not a high dollar one but it has worked well for me. It's the only RO unit I have purchased.
