    It's not like you have to pour water on it but it would just be that little extra protection if water happen to splash on it

    it's not like you ever plan to get electrocuted but you still run things on a gfci.

    exactly, I dont want to put the thing in my tank, but it's kinda that extra protection. If it only had more than 4 plugs I would seriously consider buying it, but I need at least 6. I guess I could get 2
