Sorry to hear, hope it all works out. I'm pretty lucky the landlord has seem both of my 75 gallon tanks and has not said anything bad about them. I live on the 3rd floor BTW.

YAY today is a good day i get to keep my DT but everything else must go, so not a total loss. But they said they reserve the right to change there mind later which i think means if it leaks again I will have to PAY!!! lol

Again like I said read your lease I own income property's have a lease written by attorney's belong to an association and my lease doesn't mean sxxt when you get to court. So like you said don't let it leak again and your all good but if you pay your rent on time and this is the only time the landlord had a problem with you. Your not on the top of his list. Good luck.

i dont think he can force you to leave or remove the tank unless it causes damage thats to incredible heights (180 gallon tank decides to crash) that could be an issue but just pay for damages if its a complex i couldent see them forcing you to remove it because they cant come into the room and search it thats invasion of privacy and probly breaking and entering without sustainable cause

i could be wrong but hey atleast you can say you tried

as a police oficer in ga i can tell you that in the lease most landloards have it in the lease that they can come by and make regular inspeections without warning but you have to be there with you and that you can end the inspection at any time but thats for ga aldso if you get to keep your dt that sounds like a win in my book

Yes most leases say that the landlord can inspect usually 24hr notice or if emergency you don't have to be there seeing something bad that can be harming there property. Thats why I said offer to pay for the damage, also its kinda a put up or shut up to the landlord in a nice way. Good luck
