weird shell growing off live rock

    noticed this weird looking shell growing off my rock has two pieces top and bottom. any ideas?

    It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    Hard to tell for sure, possible a razor clam or similar bi-valve.

    it just appeared couple weeks ago, hard to get a nice picture because of location. i wanted to take the rock out and give it a good look but didnt want to break it down
