weird feather duster

I have a feather duster that has been moved several times since putting him in the tank a couple days ago. He keeps coming out of his tube. I cant find a good spot for him. When I came back from church tonight he was out of his tube with his crown pressed up against a Favia and his duster was curled up like it was melting. I picked him up and put him in his tube and went to stick him in a hole in another rock so maybe it would be okay to his likeing but he instantly dropped his crown and receded into the tube. I took it and the duster and stuck it under a rock with him facing his duster. What do they do when they leave a tube and drop the crown? Will he die or start over somewhere to his likeing. And do fish eat the worm's? The tank fish are 1 Pigmy Angel 1 small Yellow Tang 1 Pajama Cardinal Two Blue/Green Chromis and 1 Blue Damsel.

 

How are your parameters, i thought i read they can come out when water quality drops.
