Ok guys I havea 34 gallon cube if you don't know that yet. As of now I'm running a Korlia nano and was thinking about adding the K1 for more cirulation. The sump pump does 386 gallons an hour which is turning the water over 11 times an hour. I know it could be more but for now that's what I have..

DO you think having the Nano and the K1 running doing the day time and not at night be to much ciruclation or good enough? ALSO i HAVE THE nANO ON A TIMMER AND AT ABOUT 2PM IT STOPS FOR ABOUT AN HOUR AND THAN STARTS AGAIN.

Remember the Korlias are just for water movment and NOT for moving water to and from the sump..

If you could get a Koralia to move water to and from your sump, I'd be surprised . Depends on what you have in the 34, but I'd say a #1 wouldn't be overkill at all for flow. I've heard the nanos are pretty low flow. I have a #2 and a #3 in my 55 fwiw, and I run them continuously.

sounds fine to me, just have to watch and see how livestock reacts. and I dunno why you would turn them off at night, if flow is good throughout tank let em go 24/7

Just the Nano pump turns off at night not the sump pump it runs 24/7. I was thinking turning the pumps off at night would help the coals relax plus add longer life to the pumps. All my coals close up at night so I don't see any benefit for water movement for them if they are not feeding. So please tell me what would be beneficial about running the pump. If you guys know something I dont fill me in please..

Well, I think you are really low. I run 34x in my 90g and am about to increase that to 53x with two koralia-4s. My 10g runs about 40x and I am going to increase that to 64x with the addition of another koralia-nano. I love flow in my tanks.......and lots of it. It sounds like a lot, but with lots of koralias, you can really hit the dead spots well.

Edit: And your flow should be 24/7, as stated above. Lose the timers bro.

I've had corals that only open up at night, but besides that, most corals like flow

Now your just talking about water movment in the tank right? Not how much water is going in and out of the sump? I know the sump only turns the water over 11 times an hour and it should be a little higher but for a 34 gallaon how much more should the sump turn over??
