Watcmen Goby

So is there a down side or an order to having or getting a Watchmen Goby. Thanks in advance.

 

maybe some crazy sand shifting,

 

+1 to sand storms in your tank...that's about it really. They aren't considered difficult to care for. They are pretty peaceful too.

 

IMO - not good for DSBs.

They filter TOO much for them and end up destroying populations of flora and fauna in the sand bed like pods, worms, dusters, etc.

If you have a SSB - they would be fine as long as you could handle the occasional sandstorm in your tank.

 

I only have one and a half to two or so inches depending on water flow. He would be my first marine fish. saw him the other day he was just so cool. What happens if I decided to get a Barnacle benny down the road.

 

My YWG is a cool little guy and doesn't cause sand storms. He filters out sand once in a blue moon but is peaceful and perches on his rock.

 

Yeah my watchman goby likes to stay in his hiding spot most of the day and will sometimes perch on top of his rock. Doesn't cause sand storms at all.
