im going to setup a new tank but i want it to be simple and easy to take care of which is why I want a controller. the question is though what one is right for me? this is what I want...
    - control heater
    - control lights
    - control fans
    - control refugium lights
eventually i want to control a calcium reactor

I was looking into the reefkeeper lite on BRS and it looked perfect. but theres only 4 outlets so how would I use my return pump, powerheads, skimmer, and other things that are constintly on. also is there anything you guys recomend as far as what I should control (ie. heaters) and what controller would be best in my case.
    thanks

    Depends on your budget.
I have the Apex Controller and I used to own the RKL, both are awesome!

With the Apex you get an 8 outlet Energy Bar and you can double up many things on each outlet, just cant exceed 15a? total. You also can get emails or texts when temp, Ph is too high/low, when power goes out, and you get full web access to the contoller and can turn things on and off via the web interface. There are also apps for most every phone out there now to control everything from your phone too.

The amount of things you can control with the Apex is almost endless....there are many modules you can add on!

Both will do what you need, its a matter of price and what you may in the future and what control you would like over everything remotely.

reef keeper light is what you need you can upgrade it to a ph probe in the future. bulk reef has them on sale right now for 85.00
simple solution you dont need the controler for. return pump/skimmmer any thing that is always on is pluged into another outlet simple. you use the reef keeper for your heater/ mh lights if the tank gets to hot it will turn them off. then you could have it turn on a fan over the sump when the tank gets hot. the 4 thing you metioned above it wii do. you can buy extra moduals and add to it for about 60.00.
    hope this helps
