I have plenty of those. When I have time i will post them and try to let you know. Not real sure where to post them though. I guess i'm not sure where dive pics would fit in here. Maybe in the photo gallery or probably here in a thread in the bucket?

I was in Sharm El Shiek, Egypt while active duty in the army. I logged at least 20 day dives and 4 or 5 night dives. The majority of the reef is still very alive there. I heard from many that it is in the top 5 dive location in the world. Where in the Red Sea are you going?

we were gonna be going to the Israeli side. We haven't booked anything yet so nothing is really set in stone as to where exactly we will be.

That's awesome. Let me tell you, there is a large reef that used to cross the red sea from Egypt to Isreal. Since then they have blasted channels in it to allow shipping routes. Now this particular reef is about 50 yards wide and besides those channels crosses the whole red sea. I think at it's deepest it's over a mile deep! The reef comes straight up from the bottom and reaches about 2-4' below the surface of the Red Sea. The reef is pratically a shear wall of life! A ship will drop you off and basically you drop 100' and below you is just deep dark blue. Vertigo kinda sets in, then it starts to feel like you're in an alien world!! There's a strong current that pulls you quickly along the reef wall. Barely any swimming is needed except to stay level. It was the longest dive I had because no extra air is used to swim. Dont be surprised to see some of the best reef life there and sharks! We had 1 follow behind us for a min, before dipping down into the dark blue! This reef is probably the most thriving reef in the area. I HIGHLY recommend this area!

sounds pretty sweet! I love drift dives. We did like 10 drift dives in Cozumel in the fall. You can stay down longer because the divemaster plans the gas consumption to be all useable. That and you dont have to work at all cause the current does your swimming :)

How's was the reef life in Cozumel? I know that most of Mexicos reefs have been dying due to tourism.

I went to Puerto Vallarta, with my wife. Planned on Scuba but it was the rainy season, and there was too much run off in the water. Also the Pacific is kinda rough water for diving.

very cool. Once, while diving, my husband and i took what we thought was a plastic bag from a turtle that was trying to eat it. It turned out to be paper?, but that couldn't have been good either way. k+
