    Ok so for x mas im getting a VorTech pump ;D my question is should i get the mp 10 or the mp40? I just feel like the mp10 is to small and the mp4o is to big what do you guys and gals think??? :confused:

    On a 40g...MP 10...40 is WAY too much....

    You can always dial down the 40.... Leaves you open to an upgrade as well +)

    depends on what your keeping: sps-mp40, lps-mp10.
    I personally would get an mp40 and just dial it down to your needs

    yup ... mp40. You can decrease for now ... and will work with a bigger tank one day

    Definitely not a bad way to go, especially if you ever plan to be SPS dominant. A 10 would be fine though too and you could always add another latter if needed. This actually isn't a bad idea, as, the vortechs do better in pairs. However, on the other hand, if you upgrade tanks ever, the MP40 may be more useful... sort of a personal call..

    Get a MP40 i would i have one MP40 and a MP60 on my 75 its not to much the 60 is only about half way on though lol

    I have a mp40 on my 65g turned all the way up and I still feel I could have more flow. Imo the 40 would be a better fit. And as stated if its to much just turn it down a little bit.
