I have two Vortechs - MP10w - running on my neo nano on the left and right side of the backwall facing front pane. One is set as master and the other slave. The slave glows white for the slave mode it is in - which correctly is backwall - but I notice that the pumps appear to run at the same speeds - I want one to be slow when the other is fast... however in the instructions I see no way of cycling through slave modes - the instructions seem to imply that the slave mode is detected and set by the pumps communicating wirelessly - is this true? The mode I guess I am going for is 'opposite.'

I think you select whichever wave mode you want and the pair will start using that mode.

The wave mode is different than the slave mode. There are 3 slave modes as I recall. I just don't see a way to change which one it sets too.

Thanks - I thought anti-sync happened depending on wave mode. I am so confused.

i think both sync and anti sync modes work for all modes. right now you have white on your dial for your slave for it is in sync with your master. to change to anti sync just tap the mode switch on your slave and the color will change to orange then it is now on anti sync mode.

only constant speed mode (green light) will disable the anti-sync mode so don't be surprised about it.

I have the FULL manual smart guy. :)
I've read it up and down. It never says specifically how to cycle through modes on the slave and has details about the wireless comm picking modes for you. I was confused. Check it out - here is the meat of it:

rlman41299 - thank you! Hitting 'mode' on slave works. That seems obvious now. After all the button pushing to configure master/slave I was a bit paranoid to randomly start pushing buttons and thought I'd ask. k+
