I just set up my vortech mp10es! The vortech cannot even be compared to other power heads. This thing is POWERFUL, and not only that, but it spreads the flow across the tank. I got a maxijet 1200 for my Ro/DI bucket and I tried it in my tank just for fun. The maxijet was HUGE and it just put out a single jet of flow. Many have said it, but I will say it again, the vortech puts out a solid wall of flow. I have small areas of cyano in the back area of the rocks because there were dead spots were virtually no water passed through. The Vortech is visibly hitting the cyano in the back area of the rocks. I have only had this pump for about 2 hours and I can already tell it is amazing. I have yet to set waves, but I hope to experiment with that tomorrow. My tank looks completely different already with the different swaying motions of my soft coral. The only coral in my tank that does not seem to be liking the heavy flow is my frogspawn, but I assume he will adjust. The vortech mp10es is not perfect though. The price is pretty high, but it is like no other pump on the market so I accept that, but the noise is a tad loud. On 75%+ is short pulse or long pulse mode it is pretty loud. I know the vortech has to break in so I will update the thread once the noise level goes down. Another plus is the versatility of this little pump. It can go from a wave maker to a fast wall of water with a push of a button. I still need some time to play with some more of the features, but that part I definately like.
To conclude, this little powerhead packs a punch and it is like no other. You will not find anything of this caliber for less money. Even the Tunze wavemakers, which some say equal the vortech price out to be more in the end. Then you have the vortechs small footprint which changes everything. It is one of the smallest, yet most powerful powerheads on the market when it comes to options for a nano tank.
I still need a week or so to do a final review and see how the wave functions work, but my first impression is that this thing is AWESOME.

EDIT: Video Added! Can also be seen on my last thread 8)

Thanks for taking the time for the write-up. We appreciate reviews of products. :)

Can we get some pictures of the waves i different settings? I think that would be nice for those of us who haven't gotten the chance to see these awesome pumps in person before. ;)

What are the dimensions of the wet-side assembly?

The Vortech MP10ES pump is $220 and the MP10 W ES is $270. You can get a pretty good discount with the coupon codes from some of our sponsors though.
