Iv had a common clown fish in my 16gallon Nano tank for a year now. He was the first fish i added to the tank after its 8 month cycle.Ever since iv added the clown to the tank he is vicious towards the other fish, he has killed off 1 Clown and a Damsel and i'm afraid to add any more fish to the tank incase he is vicious towards them. I think the clown is territorial as he was the first ever fish to enter the tank mid 2009. Should i bring the clown back to the store and buy a pair of clowns or is there some solution to this problem. :-/

    Thanks In Advance
    Conor

Clowns can be very territorial, and he is probably so aggressive because of the small size of the tank. Maybe you could take hin to the LFS and trade him for some more peaceful fish?

Thanks Guys, I think the clown might be quite aggressive as the tank isnt exactly the biggest, Ill contact the store, bring him back as soon as i can and get a pair of clowns. Hopefully they wont be as aggressive!

you cycled your tank for 8 months??..........

and If LFS takes it back then you can probably just give it back and buy yourself a pair. or One small and 1 big and let them pair up.

You can try rearranging your rock work, that might help.

Tried it, In the past iv also tried taking the fish out switching around the tank a little, adding the new fish and then reintroducing the clown to the tank. Nothing worked.

I guess it's time for your clown to find a new home.
