Very Confused Fish!

The first fish in our rebuild was a sailfin blenny. For 3 weeks we never ever saw him swimming unless it was feeding time (Typical blenny behavior). Then last week we got a harem of 5 lyretail anthias. The lyretail love to swim in the middle of the tank and play in the current. The blenny now thinks he is an anthias! He swims with them all day in the current!

So yesterday we got a tomnini tang, and he too now thinks he is an anthias. They are all in a small little schoal of 7 anthias swimming and playing in the same spot in the tank! ;D

we are trying to get a picture but they are all still a little skittish and whenever we get up they pop behind rocks (all of them in the same rock)

 

how many fish do you think you can get to school?

 

I dont know.....It is going to be real interesting if the other fish that I want start to school together! I am planning on a small school of bangaii and a pair of flasher wrasse! A whole big tank and all the fish in the center playing in the current!

 

That is so nice that they are all playing together nicely in the "waterpark". My bi-color blenny sits on top of the powerhead and waits for it to cycle on....when it does he "jumps" off and shoots himself halfway across the tank. Then he swims back to the powerhead to do it again.

 

Haha that's cute! I've actually read several stories about blennies teaming up with lyretail anthias. I was hoping mine would, but it didn't happen. But cool for you! Glad everyone is getting along!
