    are you video'ing this build?
thats a great job on the glass drilling IMO

dont forget the comp on at present - 3 steps DIY

    drilling
    plumbing
    testing - FW test

your project would make an ideal 3 steps DIY video for the current competition

Nah, those prizes won't do me any good. I also don't have a video camera.

So I drilled another hole today. I timed it. It was almost 4 minutes on the dot.

Thats about the average for me as well I just told someone yesterday in a P/M it took me about 15 to 20 mins to pop in 4 holes . The oil makes it easier and faster then when plain water is used and if water is used I'd go slower or the heat will not dissipate as fast and the bit will not float as smoothly .

No I never told you the cheap bit was no good I just told you that it was cheap bit and you'd not get many holes from it . And since you did get that bit to be sure to use oil and not water as they tend to heat up loose the diamond grit and then bind . And then Snap there goes a glass panel .. I hope you did not jinx your next hole ;) And until you use a good bit there is no way to explain the difference .
