Well I've been having a few sps frags slowly fading in color. So after consulting my 3reef friends;), I raised my light fixture up 1 1/2" last night. It's now 10" from the water line.
I also reduced the time my whites are on by 2 hours. They were on 8 hours with the blues on an hour before and an hour after. I turned them back to 6 hours and left the blues the way they were.
So now I'll wait and see what happens.
Here's a couple pics to help me document any changes. Hopefully for the better haha.
These are a purple Garf Bonsai, Red Planet, and Plum Crazy.

You can move the light to 30" above the sand if need be. What is your filtration and if you are using reactors what do you have in them?

Oh ok thanks. I just measured, it's right at 28" now.

The filtration is 2 TLF 150 reactors. One with with seachem's matrix carbon 1/4 cup, changed monthly.
The other has 3/8 cup BRS reg GFO changed every 2-3 weeks.

    75lbs rock with 1-2" sand

Reef Octopus NWB-110 4” skimmer and poly filter in the sump changed or cleaned weekly.

My lighting is an Aquaticlife 36” 6 bulb T-5 234 watt fixture
Bulbs are 4-ATI Blue Plus, 1-fiji purple, 1-GE 6500k BTW

Now that things seem to be going well, I thought I would tighten up a few loose ends.
When I built my stand the trim work didn't turn out the way I wanted it to. I tried to stain it but only the doors turned out good.
So this weekend I pulled the doors off and repainted my stand and the unfinished inside of the doors. I went with a darker brown. I think it looks a lot better.
Here's 2 pics of the before and 3 pics after.
